PASTOR MRS ADEKUNBI JOHNSON is an anointed woman of God, with a passion for souls. She is a secretary by profession. She worked with National Bank where she met her loving and caring husband who was also in the banking profession. She joined her husband to fulfill the call of God upon their lives as a woman that believes in excellence, she went ahead to bag a degree in Theology and a Doctorate degree in Church growth from International Church Growth Institute, Nigeria . She is now a co – founder of Jesus Liberation Squad Ministries a ministry that has a mandate to liberate the oppressed.

Pastor (Mrs) Adekunbi Johnson is a very humane person, down to earth. In her deep involvement in the work of the ministry, she founded a charitable organization called Samaritan Purse Ministry. One of her philosophies is to Invest in the Future, Lead her a child to Christ her deep convictions is this sort of Investment lead her to also establish another charitable organization called “Thought for a Child” . She holds the monthly program for women “Women thou art loosed”

She is happily married to Apostle Oladele Johnson, the G.O of Jesus Liberation Squad Ministries, Plot 34, Jonathan Coker Rd New Oko Oba, Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos . They are blessed with three children.

For her contributions to national development in the field of Religion, Pastor (Mrs) Adekunbi Johnson is a recipient of the PSR Woman of Merit Gold Award 2004.

THE CALL

While Apostle Dele Johnson was a Senior Staff at the Universal Trust Bank, Ajose Adeogun V.I Lagos. He saw a revelation in 1989. a lorry was carrying a decomposed body of a man. He ran after the lorry, beckoned on the owner to drop the corpse. He prayed on the decomposing body and he came back to life.

The same week he was shown another vision of a market place in turmoil and three (3) mad women were on rampage. As soon as they sighted him they became transfixed. He commanded the demon to leave and three (3) women came back to themselves.

As at the time of the revelation he knew nothing about interpretation of dream and vision, hence he gave it no thought more so he was comfortable and at doing very well in the finance industry. He went in search of solution to mountain with a fervent resolve to pray through and there the Lord spoke to his heart “Go Liberate for me Zion .

In October 1998, he received another visitation telling him to report in Lagos and on the same day at Samadola Hotel in New Oko Oba Ifako, Lagos , JLS was birthed in a vigil that attracted over 300 people. He refers to this date has the conception of the vision. After 2 years the Ministry was formally inaugurated in year 2000 at No 9, Jide Ayeni Close, Off Alamutu Estate, Station Bus –stop, Iju Road , Lagos , with 70 members.

The mandate of the JLS Ministry was clearly given to him by the Holy Spirit “Go Liberate for me Zion ” according to Obadiah 17, using the apostolic prayers and the unadulterated word of God.
